Happy Birthday Ms. G!
so today i took the bus to school. i walked up to the Longway and took that not to the terminal, but to another place where buses gather. from there i took a random bus ive never taken before. it was odd going so early. and the opposite direction
then on the way home, i took the Secretbus. it was so funny cause the bus leaves campus only stopping at 2 out of 4 bus stops. and one stop can see it leave.there was a huge crowd of people waiting at the bus stop after the bus leaves and i could see them pointing at the bus at it left.
then i look the Longway.. there was only 4 people on the whole bus. me, a spanish girl, an african american woman and

STARELADY!!!!!!
she didnt sit next to me this time. she sat across the aisle. and guess what she did
she stared at me
now let me just say that i see absolutely no reason why she should stare at me. i dont dress like a slut, im not ugly (as far as i can tell) and i dont do anything weird. i have no idea why this woman is infatuated with me
so.. i smiled and waved at her. she stopped staring. horrayy!! lol.
and this will be my last post for awhile.. my spring break starts today.

new name
ok. i am officially renaming Iwanttogohome to Monandwed. cause i take that bus every monday and wednesday.
today i took Monandwed and it was the cool new bus that i talked about in my sorryyy post. and it was the same driver too! i think he's a little special, but he's really nice. he announces all the major stops to the whole bus and and waves to everyone.
the Longway was waiting when i transfered so i got on quick.
and now most of you are wondering why i dont take Shortcut... well, its because i don't know where it went. the road it goes down is under major construction, so i don't know where it goes... therefore, i cant take it. i don't want to end up someplace really far from my destination.
and i think i ripped my shoe on the bus. they have screws in the floor, and theres a rip in my new shoes. but not an ordinary rip, like it was stabbed with something, or something sharp was pressed into it. im kind of mad..i take very good care of my shoes..

broken down
Today, i took Secretbus. and i had to stand, i have never had to stand on this bus before. but on the bright side, i didnt have to pay cause the thingy that takes the metrocards was broken. so ha to all you fare hikers! lol. so all was going well,i finally got a seat, until the bus started maing funny noises. everytime the driver stepped on the brakes, you heard a grinding noise. -let me interject into my story to say that the buses have theis "kneeling" thing. the right side of the bus goes down so that elderly and handicapped can get on easily without having to climb up the high stairs.- so the bus knelt to day for an older woman.. and didnt get up. so the driver kept driving. everytime we turned or went over train tracks, the bus scraped against the ground. plus he was driving on a slant. i kept thinking the bus was going to break down and i was going to be late for work. but we made it to the Terminal
by this time i am running late so i had to take Sardines (i knoww 2 times already? what is WRONG with me??) the bus smelled like a bathroom. thats all i have to say
and Neatorama posted about the do(ugh)nut contest so now im never going to win.. unless all of you votee!! so when i post the link, Vote People, Vote!!!

oh i almost forgot
for all of you who want to know what kenisics are (from my last post) it is defined as

a day at the zoo
today was interesting. i saw a fish and a lion! i took the Iwanttogohome and then the Longway. there was a girl who got on with me, and she had jet black hair with bleach blonde highlights. plus, her hair was realllllly frizzie. and she had shiny blue eyeshadow. she really lookid like a lion. then there was another woman whose lips jutted out so far and they were so pouty, that she honestly looked like a fish.

to be young
Today, i took the Secret bus without any interruptions lol. But i took the Longway from the Terminal and there was a really really old lady who got on. I had to do a double-take. She was wearing a red sequined ED Hardy baseball hat and she had hot pink tips on her nails. Ahh, to be young. She was also on the phone and had a headset in. She used a ton of hand gestures. She almost hit the person next to her because she was exaggerating so much. I think this is so pointless because shes on the PHONE. You do not need to use kenesics when you are on the phone. News flash, the other person cant see you! lol.
i entered the Dunkin Donuts (i thought donut was spelled doughnut. whatever.) Make Your Own Do(ugh?)nut contest. I made a blueberry pancake do(ugh)nut. Voting opens to the public on May 15-27. I will post the link to vote when they send it to me. Vote for me!

sorryyy.
sorry i missed yesterday.. the only thing that happened was that i took sardines cause i needed to get home and there was a guy with no front teeth who was talking to the guy next to him really really loud.
so today i took iwantotgohome, but it was a new "hybrid" bus. it was sooooooo cool.. it had steps in the back. it was so nice. and the bus driver, who ive had before, was so nice. he told me he liked my earrings. and have a nice day when i got off.
then i took the Longway and there were like 3 women with babies. it was odd. and for some reason a lot of elderly get on this bus i dont know why. ok so i get off the bus and im walking and i find that i cant cross a street to get to my block cuse of roadwork. so i have to go like all the way down the all the way back up again it was annoying.
and i just found out that they are raising the bus fares to 3.50.which means that it will cost me 14$ to get home from school every week. so i am not a happy buser.

Non Homeless
Today, i gave a non-homeless man a dollar. i say non-homeless because after i gave him a dollar he proceded to engage in a one-sided conversation about how he spends all his cash on rent(Hence non-homeless) and how he wishes he stayed in college and a million other things. then he said thank you for the dollar and then he walked away. Thank God i was in the crowded Terminal cause he probably would have kept talking for a really long time. he was nice though. he kept thanking me. and he had enough sense not to like shake my hand or anything. cause he was an old creepy-looking man and im just an 18yr old girl. lol
OH. i almost forgot. i don't post on Fri, Sat, or Sun cause i dont have school. so no bus. and i probably won't post in the summer either.
oh and i founf out my school bookstore sells 8.05$ metrocards. who needs an 8.05$ metrocard anyway?! buses are 2$ a ride. where does that extra .05cents come from? its like why are hotdogs sold in packages of 10 but buns in packages of 8? why did robyn get an unneeded 5 cents on her metrocard? its the same answer. the world may never know.

nothing new and exciting
nothing really new happened today except on the Secret bus, i saw a girl that i knew from high school. she is my age, and pregnant. with her second child. i think that is so depressing, she should be experiencing college and everything, but she has two kids to deal with. it makes me sad. but nothing else to report. see you tomorrow!

hey
i started this blog a really long time ago but never had time to post. so im going to start!
this blog is all about my escapades and encounters with the people and buses of long island. i take the bus home from school. i have to take 2 buses every day. part 1 of my bus trip is from the school to the Terminal. part 2 is the Terminal to my house. to prevent stalkage, im going to name the numerous buses and stops my own names. i can take many different buses to get home. i think i can take a total of 5
bus #1-im going to call it Sardines. this is because so many people take this bus everyone is literally packed like sardines. i hate this bus and i only take it if im desperate.
bus#2- im going to call this one ShortCut. this is because i just discovered this one and it cuts my walking from the stop to my house in half.
bus#3- im going to call this the Long Way. this bus i can get home but it takes a little longer. i can take this from 2 different places. either way it makes me walk for a half hour and it takes a long time to even get to the stop.
bus#4 im going to call Secretbus. this bus only stops at half the stops at my school and i didnt know it existed until recently. i laugh at the people who don't know this bus misses stops and they look really confused. like "why did the bus not stop here?" lol
bus#5 im going to call the Iwanttogohome. i only take this bus if i want to go home asap and not wait for any of the other buses. it takes longer but i hate waiting.
now im going to tell you about the buses themselves
for those of you who don't know, there are different kinds of seats. in the front, you have the seats in a row that face eachother for the elderly and handicapped, ill call these elderly seats. then there are rows of double seats, ill call these two seaters. then there are more seats that face eachother, that go up for the wheelchairs, ill call these flip seats. then finally, there is the back of the bus, these are called, the back seats.
now about me and the bus, i never ever sit in the flip seats or the back of the bus. i always sit in the first row of twoseaters. and i hate standing. with a passion. i also know just where to stand so i always get on first.
ok so those are my names. i might as well start off with a story. Today, i took Secretbus to the Terminal and i decided to wait for Shortcut. the line for the Long way was like 80 people strong and i was like NO WAY.
so the bus FINALLY arrived (the only thing i dont like about the shortcut is that it takes forever and a day to get to the terminal) and there were only like 7 people on the line including me. at the front. cause thats where i usually am lol. keep in mind that the bus seats 45 and stands 11 (legally) so i sat where i usually do. then this old lady decided that none of the other seats were good enough to sit on except the one right next to me. there were 37 seats left on the bus she could have sat in but nooooooooo she HAD to sit next to me. and she smelled. so i put in my ipod. and do you know what she did? she turned her body sideways and STARED at me. she stared at me for the whole ride! i took off my headphones and checked to make sure they weren't loud and they weren't. so i have no idea why this woman was staring at me. weirdo.
ok so thats my story for today. sometimes ill have two or three, depending on what happens, but remember, this is a introductory post, so my others will be shorter. thanks for reading! see you tomorrow!!
